Kentucky...

Before leaving West Virginia, we got ourselves a little souvenir before heading off for another day on the road...

We're thinking of covering the back of the car in magnets from all the states we stay in... I'm not sure if there'll be some angry or confused football fans driving behind us along the way though.

It was another big day of driving - 340 miles across West Virginia into Kentucky...

Lots of lush countryside, and horse paddocks (Kentucky LOVE their horses!), and some very classy shops...

By mid afternoon we'd reached our second motel, the very fine establishment - Super 8...

We're hoping that all of this Government shutdown nonsense will blow over soon - all the National Parks and government run museums across the country have been closed, and will remain closed until they can sort something out about the gajillions of dollars that they owe.

It's 12 days until we'll be at the Grand Canyon, so hopefully everything will be sorted by then - otherwise we might have to sneak in under the fences!

There's plenty more America to see before then though - it's Nashville tomorrow, and we can't wait!!!
