Alamo Drafthouse...

After our hotdogs we had a nice mooch up and down Pecan Street...

... and then we found the Alamo Drafthouse Theatre at the Ritz...

Abi had read up about it, it's a cinema where you can order food and drink at your seat and they bring it to you through out the film. This particular Alamo Theatre was only showing one film - Gravity. So we got out of the heat and went to see the 35mm version of Gravity.

Before the film they'd got lots of clips from films and cartoons that had some relevance to the film, so they were either film related or had something to do with falling, and they showed classic clips from other iconic space films... it was great!

The film itself was fantastic - it's very intense and we both came out of it feel pretty exhausted, but it was so clever and so beautifully shot. We enjoyed  watching gravity with a couple of cups of tea that were brought to us at our seats... lovely!
