About 2.5 hours drive from the border, near Colorado Springs is the beautiful Garden of the Gods...
It was incredible! Just a little way off the main highway were these amazing red rocks jetting out of the ground - there for everyone to enjoy in a free park (which is public so it's un-effected by the government shutdowns).

If this was just a small free park, I can't imagine what the parks in Utah are going to be like!!!
