Challenge Successful.
Where better to finish the challenge, than in the heart of Manhattan - Times Square!
We went to see Going The Distance - a very fitting film about long distance relationships and making them work... something we know a little bit about.
It was a great film, it was really funny and had a great soundtrack and it was set in New York and San Francisco, so it was another film that we could spot all the places we recognised. Quite a lot of it was in Brooklyn, and we saw some places we're going to try and find (like the proper shiny metal looking diner). There were also a few scenes shot up by work, around the Flat Iron building, so that was incredibly familiar.
One of the best things about going to see the film was the man sitting a couple of rows infront of us, who was laughing so loudly and so whole-heartedly at everything, he was even sighing at touching moments in the film - he was loving it, and I think everyone around us was loving him.
After the film we got in a cab and went home, driving through Times Square - it's such a fantastic place, it's constantly buzzing with excitement and energy. It was a perfect place to end our challenge.
So - despite not quite completing the challenge, we did have an absolutely incredible day and got to see a lot of new things in new places and did some proper exploring. I suppose we'll just have learn from our mistakes for the next New York City - 5 Boroughs Challenge!
To be continued...
