Today was National Tartan Day!
(I didn't know it existed either)
Unfortunately I arrived a wee bit too late to see the big parade on 6th Avenue - it was supposed to be running from 2-4pm, and I arrived not long after 3, but it was all finished by the time I got there.
Luckily though I was able to experience the aftermath and see lots of very interesting characters walking around Uptown with some very questionable fashion choices...
The best dressed person however was this man...

It was a shame to miss the pipers and the drummers in action, but it was great fun seeing all the people wearing their various tartan garments in the middle of Manhattan.
