Lynchburg...

The drive from Nashville Airport to Lynchburg was lovely...

There were big open skies, green fields, red wooden barns and a lot of pickup trucks, and it wasn't long before we saw the sign we were looking for...

Before going to the Jack Daniels Distillery we stopped off for a mooch around Historic Lynchburg, which was just a few hundred meters down the road.

It felt like something out of Back To The Future 3, it was a little cowboy town square, with all the shops facing into the middle towards the red town hall...

There was even a County Jail!

Unsurprisingly there were a fair few shops selling Jack Daniels goodies, from old barrels and wood chips to hot sauce and old vintage bottles...

Some of the bottles were suspiciously over-priced, like this $600 bottle from South Africa? Which looks exactly the same as the one I can buy from across the road in Bed Stuy...?

We were feeling pecking after the flight and the drive down to Lynchburg so we popped in to the Iron Kettle for a catfish sandwich with some of the locals...

It was a funny little place, wooden clad walls, ceiling tile adverts, Jack Daniels memorablia on the walls and bottles of Jack Daniels on the table (they were full of pickles though)!

Then it was time for the main event, the Jack Daniels Distillery, so we headed back down the road ready for the tour...
