Monday was another lovely day in Miami and we started it as all bank holidays should be started - with some more eggs benedict! We went to a little cafe called Ice Box which, according to Oprah Winfrey, has the best cake in America!
Of course, this meant that Miss Turner had to see if the claims were true...
It was pretty tasty... but the best in America? Hmmm... we're not too sure about that. Their eggs benedict were mighty fine though, they do their on crab cakes with a spicy sriracha sauce instead of hollandaise!
After breakfast we had a mooch around the shops and made our way back to Ocean Drive for a little walk on the beach before hiring some bikes...
It was great cycling up and down the length of Ocean Drive, looking at all the amazing Art Deco hotels, the beautiful colours and all the brilliant typography on the signs...
We ended up cycling back over to near Ice Box where we believed there to be a Shake Shack! In the name of research we needed to go to said Shake Shack and try their burgers to see if they tasted just as amazing in another state... don't worry, they do! It was as amazing as ever, so they're probably the best burgers in Miami as well as New York... maybe it's just easier to say their the best burgers in America?!
Then it was time to cycle back to Ocean Drive, drop off the bikes and have one last drink before heading to the airport...

We had an absolutely amazing time, and although it was only 3 days - well, 2 and a half, it felt like we'd been away for a week and that we'd had a really good break - which was great.
It just made it incredibly hard to leave!
