The Box House Hotel...

When I was riding back over the Pulaski Bridge, back into Brooklyn I looked down and spotted 4 beeeeeeeeeeeautiful old taxis. So as soon as I was off the bridge I went back under the bridge to try and find them.

It turned out that they were all parked outside the Box House Hotel, and all subtly branded with the hotel's emblem on them...

There were two white ones, one black and one traditional yellow cab - all in perfect condition, all beautifully cleaned, with all the chrome glistening in the sun.

Every detail was perfect, even the little 'on duty' lights on the roof...

They were all absolutely beautiful...

The nice thing was that they were right round the corner from the real taxi rank - which is now unfortunately full of ugly looking boxy Fords and Lincoln's, instead of these lovely cars... I wish these were still the Yellow Cabs running around Manhattan.

I just looked up the Box House Hotel and it although it doesn't look like much on the outside, the inside looks amazing! It's not a normal hotel, they have little apartments rather than rooms, they sleep from 4 to 8 people and look really lovely.

I imagine they'd be perfect for groups of friends coming to New York or something... definitely worth remembering for any family gatherings! Maybe you get to ride in one of the taxis if you stay there?!
