Friday Evening Stroll...

It was such a beautifully sunny and warm spring evening yesterday. We went for a lovely walk after work, walking up from Union Square to Times Square.

All the buildings looked amazing in the evening sun. Everything looked so crisp and warm.

It was such a lovely evening, we sat outside at a French restaurant in Hell's Kitchen and enjoyed a deeeeeelicious meal. It felt like we were on holiday!

For the passed few days I have been feeling overcome with Ilovenewyorkitus - it's probably because the weather's been so lovely, but everything's been taking my breath away recently. Even silly things like the taxi journey back from Ikea, driving over the Manhattan Bridge, seeing all the graffiti on the rooftops in China Town, driving up Bowery with the Empire State Building on the horizon, driving along West 17th Street and seeing all the little houses, then arriving at Union Square, seeing all the water towers and grand architecture... I felt like I had just arrived in New York again and everything looked brand new.

Yesterday evening was the same, walking up 5th Avenue, towards the Empire State Building, then walking passed the New York Library and through Bryant Park to Times Square. It was unbelievable.

I'm so glad that after nearly 3 years of being out here, it still feels brand new and there's still so much to be surprised and inspired by. We're incredibly fortunate to be able to live in such an amazing city, and at such a great time too. We're even more fortunate that we get to share it with you all when you come to visit us... Thank you!
