Brothers Langridge...

Hello again!
I thought I'd put a few more photos up from Tom's visit...

This is the view from the top of the Wonder Wheel at Coney Island - the beach (as you can see) was rammed! It was such a gorgeous July 4th, I'm still a little red even now... bits have started peeling off!

After all the fun at the fayre, we went for a stroll along Brighton Beach...

We hired some bikes and cycled through Central Park - apparently lots of celebrities have apartments in this here building - it looks pretty scary to me, I think Bruce Wayne might live there.

We stopped off to have a drink and watch some people playing baseball...

After tiring ourselves out with cycling and walking, we strolled down 6th Avenue. There was one of New York's weekly street fairs - this one seemed to go on for miles... these toffee apples looked mighty tasty, but it seemed wrong to have them before November 5th.

Tom had found this on his solo adventures earlier in the week - I didn't even know it was in New York! It's funny to think that a version of this was sitting on the lawn at Chatsworth too... it's a small world!

  1. Is that Tom on the bike - looks very like him! I always thought Brighton beach was full of pebbles ha!ha!. It looks like you had amazing weather that day. How come the chocolate on the toffee apples didn't melt? Glad you resisted - just think of your waist line!

  2. Yup, it's him... he's about to lead us down a path that cyclists aren't allowed on and that would lead to a lot of steps - but neither of us knew it was the wrong way. It ended up being an incredibly pleasant path, so good things come from mistakes!
