After admiring the view with a couple of drinks, Abi went to go and meet Laura for a few more drinks and Tom and I went to see Donovan Frankenreiter play at Brooklyn Bowl.
When we arrived we had a wee bit of time before the gig started so we had very very tasty BBQ chicken wings and 'rock and roll fries' (cheesey, gravyish chips!) in the restaurant bit of Brooklyn Bowl. I'd only eaten there a couple of times before, but it's been delicious each time.

Then it was time for the gig, so we walked through to the gig bit of the venue and waiting for Donovan to take to the stage...
It was Tom's first time seeing him play, and the last time I saw him play was when he supported Jack Johnson at Sheperds Bush Empire in the first year of Uni... so it had been a wee while, but he sounded better than ever!
Half the gig was on his acoustic guitar and then the other half was on his electric guitar and was a bit more bluesy...

He and his band sounded great...
Then to finish the night off, we all got a FREE copy of his new album! Not bad for a gig that only cost a tenner in the first place.
It was a great night, with the drinks and the food and the gig - blummin' marvellous.
