Yesterday lunch time I walked up to the Art Directors Club to see the 'Piece By Piece' exhibition.
The exhibition is the first solo show by Sean Kenney, who has had a normal desk job for the last 10 years but has been VERY busy with some lego in his spare time...
He'd built some amazing things, like a HUGE rubber duck, tricycle, xylophone and a lovely (life-sized) bright green bike...
He'd also built a scale model of the Brooklyn Bridge, complete with dispersing traffic...
Tom, I think you'd have loved it - especially the model of Times Square...
There were even working lamps!
There were a couple of big tables covered with hundreds and thousands of green lego bricks, where people could make their own pieces and put them on display...
I'm surprised the exhibition wasn't on at the Lego shop or something, but I'm very glad that it was just a few blocks from work. The Art Directors Club have had a few good little exhibitions and they've all been free!
Not bad for a Monday.
