Yesterday there 10 foot mounds of snow in Union Square!
Unfortunately it wasn't because of a freak snowstorm, it was part of a promotion for Skiing in New York...
I'd seen the snow being delivered the night before, two big trucks FULL of the white stuff, just dumping it down on the edge of Union Square. Then the next morning it had been transformed into a mini slope where some very little snowboarders were getting a lesson...
I'd never really thought about New York being a skiing destination, but there were quite a few different tents promoting different ranges in upstate New York, so there must be quite a few places to go!
I think a little further investigation might need to be done into the New York slopes, but I quite fancy learning to snowboard or going snow tubing!
That is, if we ever get some proper wintery weather this year!
