It was Miss Turners 25h Birthday yesterday!
After a nice lazy start to the day, with some present opening, some eggs benedict and some family Skyping sessions, we went out to celebrate in Manhattan - first stop Shake Shack!
Although it's February, and although it had been trying to snow all day - it was so lovely to be able to sit outside, under the twinkly lights and enjoy Abi's favourite burgers.
Then it was time for some birthday cake... or some birthday cheesecake! There was only one place that would really do for Miss Turners birthday, and that's Eileen's Cheesecake. So we jumped in a cab and headed down to the little shop to get some cake before it closed.
When we got there, there were so many delicious cakes to choose from - to many to just pick one, so the birthday girl went for a modest four cakes instead...

I should add that I ate the cookies - and I did help out (a little bit) with the cakes, but the lady behind the counter was VERY impressed with how quickly Abi polished off the deeeeeeeeelicious banana and oreo, dulcé du leché, caramel pecan and plain cheesecakes.
Someone in the queue even asked Abi for her advice on which was the tastiest - after recommending the banana and oreo, the lady bought it. I think there's a future for Abi in cheesecake tasting.
Then it was time for the main present, so we jumped back in a cab and headed over to Times Square...
