New York Festivals...

On Thursday night Abi, Amelia, Sam and I went to the New York Festivals Awards Doo at the NY Library...

It was such a beautiful venue last year, so I'm glad they held it in the same place again - they even had the same band playing under the arches...

We enjoyed our free drinks and nibbles in the main entrance of the Library - they had some tasty canapés on offer, little squid salads, meatballs (hopefully not Ikea ones!), pork roulade type things, truffley cheese on toast things, mussels... it was mighty fine, although not quite as fine as last years scallops, they were amazing.

Then it was time to be ushered through into another impressive room for the awards to start being given out...

Unfortunately we weren't up for any awards this year, we just got invited because I did some judging for the awards - but we had fun seeing some of the winning adverts and pieces of design.

It's been a bit of a long couple of weeks at work with all the people visiting and all the meetings and presentations, so it was nice to end the week in such a lovely New Yorky venue and enjoy some free booze.

Hopefully one year it'll be me and Abi going up there to pick up an award for something!
