Madison Square Art...

At lunchtime I took a wee stroll up to Madison Square Park to look at the lastest sculptural installation...

Weaving through the park, wrapping around the trees are these amazingly bright walls made out of knotted and painted nautical rope...

The installation's called Red, Yellow and Blue and it's by an artist called Orly Genger. Apparently the piece is made up of 1.4 million feet of rope covered in 3,000 gallons of paint!!!!!

I saw someone sprucing up the yellow rope while I was there...

It looked fantastic, walking through the park seeing these wooly looking walls weaving around the plants and trees...

I wonder how much more paint they'll get through over the next couple of months?
