Yesterday was such a lovely sunny and mild day, it felt just like Spring! Maybe we've skipped the harsh winter this year and gone straight to the nice fresh sunny days instead?
I went out to get some fresh air in the afternoon and got an overwhelming feeling of New Yorkiness/Brooklyniness. As I walked down our road I saw boys from the Projects playing basketball, Jewish mothers and their babies in the playground, Spanish families playing football together, Mexican guys playing squash, Hipsters walking to the bar, a Biker on his big Gold Wing waiting at the traffic lights blasting out Country music, it was such a cross section of Brooklyn life - such an amazing mix of people and cultures and backgrounds, all within 2 blocks of each other.

It might not be the prettiest road in the world, and there might not be that many nice places to eat and drink around, but it's certainly full of life and character.
