The Etsy Christmas Shop...

Yesterday Abi and I went along to the Etsy Pop-Up Christmas Shop in Soho...

It had been running for a couple of weeks and was ending this weekend so I'm glad we were able to see it. The whole thing had been curated by a handful of designery arty creative types from New York, they had each selected some of their favourite items from Etsy to be sold in this one-off shop.

Before you even got inside the shop, there were crafty arty things going on - there was a artists sitting in the window wrapping presents and making a huge face out of them...

The inside of the shop looked amazing, there were so many things to look at, and it was all presented in such a great way...

Through-out the run of the shop there were various events happening,  there were seminars happening during the day and music performances in the evenings - on Saturday afternoon the stage was taken up with a couple of people offering a brilliant service...

Blindfolded present wrapping!

The space was full of all sorts of things, from art and old pictures on the walls, to childrens wig-wams and teddy bears, from polyhedron wood candlestick holders to feather necklaces. There were also little work stations where you could get things made or printed for you right there and then...

They even had some Rob Ryan pieces for sale...
The whole shop was great - I think it should be a permanent shop, they could change the curators each month, like that other shop 'Story'... maybe they'll have more pop up's through-out the year or something.
