Phillay...

Yesterday I went to Philadelphia for the day to meet up with Swazi Ed!

We worked out that it'd been about 4 years since we last saw each other - but once we met up it didn't feel like it at all, it was really lovely to see him again.

He's over in Philadelphia doing a placement as part of his PhD research, so he'll be around for another few weeks - we've planned a couple more visits, Ed's going to be visiting us in New York in a couple of weeks and I expect we'll meet up again before he leaves.

We didn't really see much of Philly yesterday - so we walked around chatting for a wee while until we found a bar that was open, and then set up there for the next 5 hours... the time flew by and then it was time to get back on the bus to New York.

I did spot this famous landmark on the way to the bus though...

Just for some proof that I was actually there!

It was a really lovely day, and great to realise just how easy it is to go to Philadelphia for the day . it took less than 2 hours to get there in the morning and about 2.5 on the way back. It was great to be able to catch up with Ed and rememeber all the fun we had in Swaziland...

Who knows, one day we might get to go back?!
