Storms-a-brewin'...

This weekend was another hot and muggy weekend with temperatures in the mid 30's and feeling like nearly 40 degrees.

The weather crescendoed to another huge storm last night, I managed to get up on the roof to take some pictures just before the monsoon like rain battered down...

The density of the clouds was amazing - they just turned the sky black over Brooklyn. I looked over to Manhattan and could see the skyline quickly disappear as it was engulfed in rain clouds...

You can usually see the World Trade Center behind those two water towers... but last night they just vanished.

I had to go inside not long after as the rain starting coming down really hard and the wind was blowing the chairs around on the rooftops. The rain lasted most of the night and the lightning carried on for hours... it was all very dramatic!

It looks like there's some more action forecast for the end of the week.
