This morning/afternoon we went to Greenpoint for a mooch and a bit of brunch. After our eggs benedicts (one with pulled pork, one with chorizo - still not a patch on Chatsworth though!) at Brooklyn Label, we went for a walk down by the river...
The weather was amazing today, so bright and sunny but lovely and chilly and crisp... perfect for a few photos...
Then we decided to get the East River Ferry for the first time - we got it one stop down the river to Williamsburg. The Ferry was great - it's so quick, it zipped down the river and we were there in about 5 minutes.
We're going to try and get it for longer next time as it goes from Wall St, to near Governors Island then up to Dumbo, South Williamsburg, North Williamsburg, Greenpoint, Long Island City and then back over to Manhattan. It's $4 each way, so if you got it from Wall Street to Long Island City it'd be great value, if you get it one stop, like we did... not so great value, but still great fun!
It was a really lovely way to kick the Sunday/January/Holiday/Homesick Blues for a while - if the weather stays like this all winter (with the addition of some snow) I think I'll be very happy!
